Imo it's counterintuitive to install a cam and not upgrade the rods and pistons. The engine is likely going to come out anyway and be torn down to the short block. Otherwise, the potential of the cam and supercharger will be limited by the stock pistons.

Imo it makes more sense to go right to port injection and run E85 with the stock cam and internals. You can safely make around 700whp on that setup.
