truckrglenn, do you still have a 2017? If yes, I don't think it will work, this unit you purchased from Xi Jinping is for the new 2019+ infotainment, and our cars no longer get official map updates anyway (see screenshot below).

My 2023 map update came on a USB stick, had my VIN in the manifest already (with some checksum protection), the file structure was different and the infotainment version was 2.5 or something similar, not the 3.6 I see in your post.

Also, even if this is a legit update, while GM could've made them backward compatible, I would be very, very surprised if they actually gave a **** about us owners and made it so.
I'll give it a try anyway. Either way, it's a free return.

I use a wireless AA adaptor anyway. Was hoping (lol).
