When you do clean the top, I recommend using a lower concentration of soap:water in the wash solution than recommended, as rinsing soap out the fabric (even with the fabric guard) can take a LONG time. Avoid foam cannons on the top, as they tend to require higher soap concentrations to make the shaving cream style foam... which is not what you want on the fabric.
I put 303 Fabric Guard on it back in 2017. Getting to be about time for a refresh but still beads water in most places. Will do the same using the paint-roller technique.
