Tires, Aero, Power to weight are the 3 things you can do that will have the biggest impact on times IMO. Everything else is just details. For reference(roughly) at CMP my Hoosier A7's are about 3.5 seconds faster than SC3's. At VIR It's about the same. Hoosier R7's are about 2 seconds slower than the A7's.

Some tracks tires don't matter as much though. Road Atlanta is one of them, my A7's there are only about 2 seconds faster than SC3's. The more corners with consistent lateral load = more time you will find with slicks.

If you're running SC3R's (Similar pace to R7's) you can find some time by going to A7's but where you will find the most time is likely through driver coaching and practice.
