I've had manuals all of my life, and I find the clutch in the Camaro to be somewhat quirky. I almost feel it's the angle of the seating position, as I've never had a manual where I sit as low as I do in the Camaro. I sit with the seat as low as it can go, and have size 12 shoes. The throw of the clutch is too long to keep my heel on the mat and rotate my foot to let the clutch out. When I keep my heel on the mat, it gets "stuck" in the pile of the carpet as I let the clutch out, and since I can't rotate my foot enough to fully let the clutch out, it causes a bit of a problem. I can definitely see wearing a hole in the carpet within a few thousand miles.

Totally agree. Ive grown up with manuals. My '94 was a manual and was super consistent. I find my '22 is quirky for sure. But yeh, mine is from rotating back and forth from clutch pedal to dead pedal without being able to lift my damn foot. I'm 6'4" w/ size 14 shoe and I'm pretty sure I'm at the max size limit for this car. Test drove a '24 auto with a sunroof for S & giggles and my head rested on the ceiling with the seat all the way down. Anyway, looks like this just might be a big foot problem.
