What's the tire manufacturer say about the 275? We all have to make our own choices, but I'm curious if your tire guy said good to go, or the manufacturer said good to go!!!!
....with the 305, did you check the body harness? We know a 305 tire fits on a 43 offset. Stock SS wheels are 39, so technically your 305's are 4mm closer to the inner fender than a 1LE or ZL1 would be. I'd check it.
