Ray, nobody is blaming you, shit happens, unfortunately. If it makes you feel any better, I wrecked my Camaro in a very similar situation: lots of stress at work and at home, tire shop taking 3 hours to replace my tires, temps growing cold and the day dark, then me forgetting to be very chill on the first couple of miles on brand new tires... what can I say, an embarrassing tow and a $17K repair later, I learned my lesson.
(The silver lining for me is that a) insurance paid it in full and b)
the body shop did wonders, my car literally looks and drives better than new... but it also officially became my unsellable forever Camaro that day, not that I mind this part. Here's to hoping you will have a chance for find your would-be new wheels the silver lining to your story
