I posted a negative Google review of the shop that ruined my wheels over the weekend. I guess they pay someone to monitor reviews and I received this response:
"We apologize. our crews priority is your complete satisfaction! We truly apologize that you were not treated properly. When you can, please contact our consumer solutions department at 914-984-2500 option #2 and we would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you."
So I called them yesterday. I was told they would reach out the the regional manager that offered to repair the wheels. We'll see what happens but I'm not getting my hopes up.
I also did some research on Mavis Discount Tire, which I should have done before letting them service the car. It seems that they have been sued numerous times. In one case they were supposed to perform a brake job on a large SUV based limo. Apparently they didn't bother to do the work even though they billed to owner for it and the next time the limo was in service it had a total brake failure resulting in a 100 MPH crash that killed 20 people.
