It will likely take you over an hour just to scrape off all of the adhesive foam tape residue after you have the splitter off. I used a plastic razor blade and a lot of Mothers R3 spray but there might be a better spray to use. There were 4 rivets to drill out on my 2017 and those holes are visible with the splitter removed.

I used 20 lb test fishing line with gloves so it didn't dig into my hands. It broke about 10 times during the sawing process. I also used a snap blade utility knife to cut some of the foam while pulling the edges of the splitter away from the car so the metal didn't scratch the paint.
