A modern kill switch that retains remote start, and when set in certain ways can allow a normal start or not. But in all cases if you don't authenticate before trying to drive away, you aren't driving away with the car.
My understand is that the base install is $1200 no matter what installer you go to. Depending however on options and installer it can be more than that
