I wasn't too familiar with the LT1 prior to this post even having driven one, but a few minutes on google tells me that it has quite a few substantial mechanical upgrades over the standard V6 beyond the motor:
- TR6060 transmission if you opt for a manual
- front 4 piston brembo brakes from the SS
- LSD from the SS
- SS suspension
- oil cooler
I couldn't confirm, but I would assume it also has the same driveshaft and axles given that the the rest of the powertrain is the same as the SS.
