When EVs get cheap enough that they become throw away items like some electronics then it won't matter but I suspect that won't be the case in our lifetime.

Unfortunately, Ev’s are throwaway, how fast can we get a replacement drive motor? I bet Johnson doesn’t make an aftermarket.
