For everyone saying put an air tag in the car, there are multiple issues with that.

1) correct me if I’m wrong but I believe our phones will notify us if an AirTag that’s not ours is nearby.
2) the cops are not going to follow the AirTag signal right away. By the time they actually do something about it the car will be destroyed/chopped up.
3) if we “take matters into our own hands” and follow the AirTag signal we will get in significantly more trouble than the a-holes that steal the car unfortunately (unless you live in Texas).

Unfortunately the only solution is to install a kill switch or have a garage (preferably attached as there are more laws protecting the homeowner of an intruder is inside your house).
