I'm going to jump on the bandwagon of disputing through your credit card company. I hate that this happened to you, but I honestly don't think you'd have much luck in court. Too much time and mileage passed between when you had the work done and when the incident occurred. There's no way to know if you subjected the car to any unreasonable driving conditions during that time. There's no way to know if you attempted any maintenance or modifications to the brakes following their work. We believe you, but I think they could introduce enough reasonable doubt to avoid culpability. Get any money back you can and just chalk it up as a bad experience. Totally sucks man. I'm sorry.
