I did this myself but it doesn't stop the real issue of a relay attack, they can still break the window, jump in and using the relay attack start the car. Sure, it's a lot noisier but at 2 am the time it would take me to wake up, recognize the sound of breaking glass and/or it being my alarm gong off, get out of bed with my bedside high velocity lead thrower and make it out to my car they could easily have the car gone.

Final solution is a faraday box/pouch to keep my fobs in when not in use.
