Is this an NA deal or how much power are you trying to make? Below 1500 or so, the stock LT1 aluminum block will be just fine. The l8t does have longer cylinder bores which is better for a stroker, but I'm not sure I would add the weight of the iron block for that peace of mind. To answer your original question, yes you will feel the extra 100lbs. Can you get used to it? Of course but there will be a difference, diving into corners and a little bit lower ride height.
