So the question is, how long have these Kia engines failing and what is Kia doing about it. GM has had lifter issues in the LS based engines and still has issues in the LT engines. Forgetting oil pump failures and a continuous assortment of issues which seem to be illusive to GM dealers. There is simply no excuse for this, and I’m not excusing KIA, but KIA is not in same league as GM and their cars are bargain base cars.
GM loves to sweep problems under the rug and their dealerships are no better. It’s really sad, as I’ve really tried to support US based OEM’s. Yes I realize that Dodge is absolutely not owned by a US based company.
