The more I think about the ramifications of a strike the more I believe there will not be one, or it won't last long. The majority of those who want to go on strike probably do not have enough of a financial cushion to absorb months or even more than a few weeks on the picket line.

I work at GM and I don't think a strike will last long. I truthfully want some time off. We have been working unlimited overtime the last 2 years. Last year we did 90 days straight of 7 12s. The company is currently pushing or another 90 days straight of 7 12s. I'm already forced in Saturday unless there's a strike and I already volunteered fir 12 Sunday. Most of us want a break. We all know once we come back it will be mandatory 7 12s again anyway so even if your short on cash you will have the opportunity to make it back.
