I did a bunch of TNT runs with both tires and it was basically a wash. In the mid-70's it took 2 runs on the 25-sec TNT course before the CRS started working. At Nationals I was running 2nd heat and the forecast was cool with rain in the morning on Friday, so I decided to use the Bridgestones for Nationals itself.

In retrospect, I kinda wish I ran the CRS since I was more confident in how they felt. They feel like a slightly sharper Yokohama, which I am very familiar with. In the end, it wouldn't have made much difference. Driving errors relegated me to 3rd place, where I realistically should have had the pace for 2nd on either tire.

SD card issues lost my video and data from Thursday, but here is my fastest run on Friday- (which unfortunately was my first run)

You can see how uneasy I am with all the little corrections.
Nice driving, you kept it down to little corrections, looked good.

Congrats on the 3rd! Unbelievable Dave won by 1.4s. And a T4 in 2nd... I almost got a T4. It's cool Randy Pobst bought one, but I don't regret going SS 1LE.

Good to hear the CRS is a viable alternative to REs, they have larger sizes but they're expensive. I'm happy with that outcome and happy to spend less on tires. Given the Tire Rack test results on tire and rim widths, could be 295s stretched on 12s is as good or better than wider tires, and you'd need to go up to 13s to make the most of 315+.

I got the new REs mounted and took her for a spin, felt very direct, softer than Falken's compound for sure. There's very little clearance up front, but I think it'll work out. It's within a few mm in either direction.

A local Camaro autox'er has a set of JRZ 2-way coilovers for sale I'll likely buy, I think that'll be it for a while on car setup. I'll probably come to solo nats next year, the car will be pretty competitive at that point. The driver? Maybe, I've been improving but only having 3 runs in an unfamiliar setting is tough!
