If you look at the video from each source it's crystal clear that the ZLE started at what many mfrs are are using as the 20.6 KM start line, and finished at the same 20.8 line that BMW used for start/finish. A quick review of videos shows this, you can choose to ignore it of you want.

I'm a ZLE track fanatic and track my 2018 HBM ZLE at least 8 days/year since 2019. I know the ZLE could do a faster lap at the Ring, with a pro driver I'd say easily a 20.8 KM 7:16 or better. An A10 ZLE could do a 7:14 or better. But we'll never know from GM, or probably anyone, you need a team and an open track.

The point is they they bragged to the world (as they should if it was true) that they did a 7:16 over 20.8 KM, and the truth is they didn't and it looks like they deliberately lied about it. Then they took down the videos for some reason. I'm disappointed in GM for this, it's a bad look.
