heat the primary with a torch and dimple it slightly. Doesn't hurt anything and is common practice. People have even had to do it with Kooks headers. Most header companies design products around the stock motor mounts and suspension. So when you change any of that all bets are off. And even some cars built on Monday don't have the same clearance as Wednesday.
