Most dod lifter failures happen when they are active. Disabling them usually curbs any issue. I have had a Whipple on my stock engine since 2019. The car has made over 200 dragy pulls. It traps 137 full weight on the 20" wheels. Basically I have a stretch of concrete industrial road I test on. Car runs 10.5 @ 137 rolling into it from second gear with no prep on a 305/35/30 555r2. It would be a 140mph car on a full drag pack. I didn't do Port Injection simply because it wasn't cost effective at the time. It was easier/ more cost effective to do +30 injectors and LPE di pump before the price doubled. I run E60 and 10-11psi. Probably real close to Laynlo's car power wise. His is faster being on the drag pack and A10 traps a little harder. I am also running more conservative with the timing. Either way it's plenty of power for a street car. right on the edge of what you can use on the street from a 40 roll. I have driven/rode in and tuned these cars all the way up to 1000whp. So I have a pretty good idea how this platform handles power.
Point being if you do a fuel system and run E50-80, these engines will handle some boost and make good power without totally having to dissect the engine for internal upgrades.
