Not that it matters... but for the sake of discussion... It is my understanding and memory after doing mine, that the BMR has a lower profile in ALL dimensions than the OEM one. If the headers would fit with the factory mounts, they must fit with the BMR mounts.
Without seeing the issue myself, this is speculative, but I would love to know what brand header this was... as we all know, there was been big fitment issues with certain brands, more so than others.
