Define “a lot of power”…? If you’re staying naturally aspirated, then the OEM long block is decent. Ditch the AFM system and get some better springs & lifters when you do the cam.
If you’re going for a LOT of power, that will generally need forced induction and a forged short block. Jump into the Forced Induction forum and read, read, read. Then be prepared to break out the checkbook…
