That's an expensive oversight...and its still not a ZLE, just a modded, still less capable, ZL1 with no suspension/ electronics warranty.

Yes, those that swap out the MRS for the DSSV's should have optioned for the 1LE but people will do what they want. Just like the people who buy ZL1 1LEs and turn it into a straight line only car. They should have saved the $7500 and bought a non 1LE and put that $7500 towards more straight line parts.
I'm sure a ZL1 with only the aero, DSSVs 19" wheels and 3R tires would be just as equally capable as a ZL1 1LE. More expensive route to go than just selecting the 1LE option.
