Can someone educate me what the difference is between being at status 2000 vs. 3000? I assume once GM accepts your order (2000), they also have allocated the parts required to assemble your order. Therefore, what does status 3000 mean?

2000 is the initial status when the dealer actually gets your allocation. 2000 status is from thursday to tuesday(when the dealer has the allocation and moves your order from 1100 status). At 2000 status, the options and colors can still be changed by the dealer(assuming said options are available that week). Once at 3000 status, the dealer can't change anything on the order. That's also when GM will start to sequence the order internally.
