I also have had ZERO MAF issues with oiled filters and I've had either the drop in filters or a CAI kit for the past 8+ years between the 4 vehicles I've owned.(2015 Colorado-drop in, 2019 Traverse-drop in, 2020 Silverado TrailBoss-CAI and my 2023 ZL1-CAI). Yes. The trick is NOT over oiling them. I USUALLY clean/re-oil all of them twice a year(spring/fall), unless I notice them getting dirty quicker than that.
