I just unlocked my T93 and installed it. There are a few differences in the T87a and T93s, at least for my car. They aren't milestone-must-have-type-improvements or anything though.

There are lots of small temperature/RPM-type differences in the definitions. Those tables, otherwise, are the same though. We're talking instead of 0* for the T87a, it will say 5*, for example, in the same cells. No biggie. It makes comparisons between the 2 look crazy, but otherwise - NO BIGGIE.

There are, also, more PATTERNS IN T93. Most of them probably don't apply, like PATTERN C under SHIFT SCHEDULING. I haven't spent much time to find where I could mess with PATTERN C, but I'm not too interested at this point. Under TM, there is a TORQUE REDUCTION for COAST DOWNSHIFTS, that has several more DEFINITIONS (e.g. CRUISE/ECO/QUICK SHIFT), but they aren't that interesting.

So - unless you have a specific situation where you NEED to run T93 in your car, and have already upgraded to T87a, I'm not sure it would be worth it. So far, there's no evidence altering any of the examples I listed (which, granted - are not all of them) that will enhance much of anything. BUT - that's for everyone else to decide. I just wanted to follow-up because I thought there could be a little more to add. This is still better than the T87a upgrade though - no doubt.
