Oiled filters do not cause premature engine wear. I run the Roto Fab dry filter on my car because I like how it looks. Just keep a clean air filter on the vehicle of some sort and move on with life.
The cleanest 01' Yukon on the streets I would wager a fair amount. So clean it's almost hilarious every time I see it.
