Once a new tire that is like the PS4S, that is, not a massive compromise in every other way just to provide enough dry grip for a launch, comes out, us who mostly drive on the street can go further in power. Until then it makes no sense.
Those that run it will correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I read, even the Nitto 555RII can't hold crazy 800+ lb-ft torque levels even at low speed rolls, let alone at launch. Either tire technology needs to drastically improve (unlikely), or the Camaro needs to get all-wheel drive (even more unlikely).
