Hydrogen for cars is idiotic. First, the insane pressure that it has to be kept at means it has to leak down to prevent blowing up the car from pressure and that also severely cripples the range, due to the extreme reinforcement the tank requires. And then you have to pressurize it in the first place, consuming lots of energy, let alone the process of making it, and then you still have to truck and ship it all over the globe. While it might make sense for a few limited industries where these things can be controlled better to not have to set up all this infrastructure, it's just idiotic for cars. There are some good vids that break down the hydrogen ICE vehicles that have been produced and prototyped, in short, they are very impractical, far more impractical than an EV. This seems to be mostly supported by people afraid of the future that haven't really looked into this tech much.
