A ZL1 destroys a regular C7 around a track, and at every single performance metric. The ZL1 is faster than a C7 Grand Sport, which is a Z06 with a regular LT1.
Randy Pobst, Willow springs:
C7 Grand Sport: 1:26.28
ZL1 M6: 1:26.16
ZL1 auto: 1:25.87
McLaren 650S Spider: 1:25.88 (yes, the ZL1 was faster than the McLaren)
C7 Z06: 1:25.00
The regular C8 is slower by some margin than a C7 Grand Sport. Z51 C8 is slightly quicker on a track than a C7 Z51, pretty sure it’s slower than a C7 grand sport.
