You also have to set the mph well in advance before it will actually shift. I see lots of people’s tune files with them setting them at the mph they want it to shift at and wondering why is going over 7k rpm or hitting cutoff.


EX: say for a 4-5 shift you want it to shift at 100 mph you need to command it much sooner. Mine as an example is set to 92.

I keep the rpm’s at 6800 across the board for wot shift rpm and my car shifts pretty much exactly at 6800rpm.

Many other factors come into play though as you start making a lot of power like line pressure and tons of torque setting adjustments but for most that’s all you need to touch.
