Delusional is your belief that all US cities and states don't have similar problems... I don't have to leave the valley to see homeless people and suffering, are you kidding have you been here lately? Plenty of that within a couple of miles of my house, and unfortunately plenty of it in every other city in the US.
Yes it is getting worse, and getting worse everywhere in the US. But I'd rather deal with that here in my beautiful CA home within 1 hr 15 min from both Willow Springs and Mt Baldy skiing, and 45 min from Zuma beach. I'm also 10 min from a thrilling canyon drive up on Mulholland where James Dean learned to drive sports cars, so I'm heading out right now in my ZLE because my shitty CA job allows me to WFH and do that anytime I have a break.
