Damn good point. My ZL1 gets incredible mileage, but the OUR government is hell bent on saving the world and are the cause for this tax. If we aren't driving a 4 cylinder shit box, then we're labeled gas guzzlers. IOW, any car that doesn't get a combined 22.5mpg.
The auto makers aren't going to push back on this either (Especially Mary Barra), because they love the government subsidies.
So we get to pay it...with money we've already been taxed on.
