Exactly. Govt creating artificial demand by getting your neighbors to subsidize the cost of your shiny new paperweight.
And manufacturers are scamming the govt on it anyway. Was a recent article on GM authority where GM increased price of the Bolt the exact amount of the subsidy. We all know that subsidized things go up in price (healthcare, college tuition) faster than the general rate of inflation.
