Many of GM's vehicles are engineered with steering columns that don't align with the drivers seat so they engineer (angle) the steering column to line up with the center of the drivers seat. Some are barely noticeable, while others are very noticeable.
The 'angled toward driver' steering column is especially noticeable on Silverado's. Camaro, not so much...
