I heard some insurers are not renewing homeowner's in Florida as well- without warning!
Here in sunny (O.K.- its hot enuff right now to be... well the only thing missing is the smell of sulfur) S.Utah, AAA insurance is charging me $921/year for the following coverage on the Camaro SS:
Deductibles-
$500 for comp. and collision
Coverage Limits-
Bodily/Property/Uninsured/Underinsured = 500,100,500,500

I've also got a clean record and am old enuff to qualify for Medicare, but I don't drive like it! Fortunately I've been extremely lucky but my wife who's on the same policy has totaled 1 Subaru and damaged another a couple of times. Her car costs me another $550 a year for the same coverage. And AAA covers our home as well for a very reasonable rate.
