Overall the sound quality is much clearer and I'm able to notice much more of the music than with the stock speakers. On the down side, I understand what others have mentioned with the need for an amp. At around 75% volume there is alot of gain.

I'm very happy with the upgrade for the ~$270 I put into it. I'm curious about an amp but I get that its alot more work to splice into the harness, run wiring and fab some brackets so I plan to leave things as they are for now.
Did replacing the rear door speakers help with getting more volume from rear speakers?
This is the main issue I'd like to get fixed on my LT1 w/Bose and would try a speaker upgrade if that can help this without going into the full new amps swapout (and big $$) approach.
