Like I said. You won't find any statistics but you will see articles that say the passenger was killed by (enter cause) when they couldn't get out of their seat belt.
Yes, vehicles are technically safer for the occupants now than they were in the late 80s and early 90s but things still happen.
I agree that wearing your seat belt is fundamental and I'm not arguing that. But if they were 100% safe then there would be no need to carry around a knife or some sort of cutter to cut the seat belt as there is a chance it will not unbuckle after an accident plus all buses would have them.
