I would stick to the LT1 if you are going to a 1SS.
My nephew and I ordered our cars at the same time - he got a 2022 LT1 and I got a 2022 1SS 1LE.
Interiors look almost identical, other than my digital dash.
Exterior, both cars have their pros. The base front facia is starting to grow on me, and like others have mentioned the LT1 is a blank canvas.
Straight line, they are the same. Handling, my 1LE of course will be better. However I was originally going to order the LT1 and just upgrade the wheels / tires, which for most would be more than enough. The Camaro is an excellent handling machine, even in its most basic of forms.
Also the MSRP has jumped on V8 models by $2000, so you are paying more for no reason. Plus if you are financing, you will be financing at a higher rate.
I do not see any reason to go from your LT1 to a 1SS.
