I dunno, there are so many unknowns here... say, if they do have allocations but don't want to "waste" it on your Camaro order, plus you bought 4-5 vehicles from them over the years, then you could tell them you will never come back and neither will anyone else you know, and they may reconsider order priorities.

I'm not trying to tell anyone what to do, just giving some ideas, because his order is stuck and simply waiting is unlikely to help.
