If you want my opinion, I think Brett is over the "bolt-on" game and has focused his business model on selling parts that support growth and higher dollar packages. More money spent per customer. So this is just a marketing ploy to get folks to buy an MSD or Highram because in the end they better support a Heads/Cam and/or larger cube setup.
He's all about porting and selling that service, the lt2 doesn't benefit from it like the other intakes do. If he isn't making money off it, no reason to push it, which I get. Going hard into why it's "so bad" is just his personality it seems.
