That is normal for an LT1. If you do a search you’ll see more pictures of them. A long time ago when DI first came out the Valves would get excessively coked and cause issues like misfires. To this date I have not seen a single post here about someone’s LT1 engine having issues due to the valves having some caked oil on them. GM did a great job minimizing it and have made many more DI engines before introducing the technology to the small blocks. Their older engines didn’t have issues either. It was mainly German engines that gave DI a bad rap.
