More airflow. A good portion of the air directed by the duct hits the backside of the backing plate. Keep in mind that the stock SS 1LE rear rotor has the vent inlet facing the outside so the air won't be drawn though the rotor.
To get any real benefit, you'll need to install a set of rotors that have the vent inlets facing inward like the GiroDisc.
