The good news is that the diffusers appear to be swappable between the '16-18 and 19+ cars, at least on the non-ZL1 trims per my experience. My de-freshed sixth gen has a 2018 SS rear bumper cover with my factory 2021 RS diffuser mounted on it. As suggested above, it may be as simple as ordering a new 2016-2018 SS diffuser from GM (making sure to get the style that matches your exhaust system - NPP or non-NPP). The not-so-simple part is the apparent need to remove the entire rear bumper cover to swap diffusers - but I'd say it's worth it to get the look that you want!
