But yes they have to measure exactly how much to pull out, there's not dipstick of sorts to check.
His computer system was saying 8.1 qts, I do have 9 qts of the trans fluid though. If some of it doesn't get used no big deal to me.

This could all be related to why you're getting different answers. One is capacity while the others are how much fluid is used for -their- services.
