I would walk into the new car sales managers office and demand the event code. Make him look it up and tell you. If the event code is 1100 it means they do NOT have an allocation. I would then go off on them, being sure to express displeasure in being lied to. Then demand money back telling them what frauds they are.

I fecking dispise these dealers that do this. They tell you they have allocations, take your build and money, then you sit at 1100 for 6 months. I just had a dealer try to do this to me on a 1SS but after drilling the sale idiot they admitted that they didn't have an allocation but were "expecting" one soon and wanted my build info.so it would appear official. I told them to pound sand. I did find other dealers who were honest and said they didn't have an allocation but said I would be first in line, so there are good dealers out there, you just need to ask the right questions and follow up.
