Exactly right, I learned this the hard way myself until I found an actual honest Sales Manager. If they do indeed have an allocation, your status will go to event code 2000 immediately when the order is put in. If you know what options you want on a car, it literally takes a knowledgeable Sales person less than 3 minutes to order your car, print your work bench order and put it in your hand. It's literally as easy as ordering a pizza online. I have now ordered a couple other cars from the same dealer and have watched him do the process a couple of times. As stated above, 1100 means no allocation

All true! Example...I ordered a '23 C8 HTC back in late August of '22. I was told that only a couple of people were ahead of me and I should have the car delivered within 4 months. I got the GM Workbench sheet immediately and here 7 months later I am still at 1100 status. Bought an in stock '23 ZL1 Convertible instead!
