1st gear 2.289= 60.74mph@6500rpm=9.35mph/1000rpm
2nd gear 1.611= 86.31mph@6500rpm=13.28mph/1000rpm
3rd gear 1.208=115.10mph@6500rpm=17.71mph/1000rpm
4th gear 1.000=139.04mph@6500rpm=21.39mph/1000rpm
5th gear 0.818=155.00mph@5927rpm=26.15mph/1000rpm
6th gear 0.536=155.00mph@3884rpm=39.91mph/1000rpm

The mph/1000rpm allows you to calculate what downshifting at a certain speed would do. Example, if you were going 60mph in 6th gear, loafing at just 1503rpm, and you downshifted to 2nd gear, it would then be revving at 4518rpm.

Note on ZLE video, that car has shorter tires and a different 6th gear ratio than the normal ZL1, so not an exact match to your car.
Good point.

You can see the frustration if you like to wind out gears and hear the exhaust sing on the street. The gear are so tall you just wind up short shifting all the time. Don't get me wrong the performance is great with tons of torque all over the place but for me part of the fun of a manual transmission is winding out the gears.

The Miata manual is probably the most fun on the street with its very short gearing. 6th gear is 1:1.

The A10 with all those gears tightly spaced together delivers a very different experience in the ZL1. The A10 has banged out 5 gears with a 2.85 rear axle while the M6 is still in the 3rd with a 3.73. I am not starting a manual vs. auto thread just talking about gearing.
